The Association for Psychological Therapies is a leading provider of Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT) training and our DBT Essentials course is available to study online. This provides an opportunity to obtain APT-quality input at a time that is convenient to you and your colleagues and minimises the need for 'cover' normally associated with training.
The course covers the same content as the live version (see below) and is presented as a series of slides which include audio, exercises and video.
✓ What is DBT?
✓ Relentless problem solving.
✓ Contingency management.
✓ Emotion-regulation exercise.
✓ Interpersonal effectiveness exercise.
✓ Distress tolerance.
✓ Walking the Middle Path.
✓ Other skills of DBT.
You will be registered at APT as having completed the course and exam, and will receive a printable certificate to acknowledge your completion. Delegates will also receive APT's Level 2 Accreditation in DBT. As a bona fide APT event, this course automatically has accreditation from The Association for Psychological Therapies. This accreditation is given weight by the fact of over 100,000 professionals having attended APT training.
We continuously monitor the quality of our training by obtaining feedback on the two key scales of relevance and presentation from every course delegate. Below are the average ratings for the last ten runnings of the 'live' version of this course.
Average Presentation rating: 97%
Average Relevance rating: 96%
