The RAID® course is an excitingly positive approach to working with disturbed and challenging behaviour, to eradicate it at source. It is the UK’s leading positive approach for working with disturbed and challenging behaviour - over 20,000 professionals have attended it.
We bring the training to your own organisation and train a group of 6-15 people, or you or your colleagues can be trained to roll out the course in your organisation under license. (Online version also available.)
The 3-day RAID® course is the UK’s leading approach for tackling disturbed and challenging behaviour at source: over 20,000 professionals have attended it. It is a comprehensive system which teaches professionals a philosophy and practice not only to deal with disturbed and challenging behaviour when it occurs, but also to prevent it by nurturing positive behaviour targetted to displace the disturbed and challenging behaviour. Staff feel pleased to share a unified system and to know what they are doing and why they are doing it, while clients delight in a relentlessly positive and empowering approach.
This course is suitable for 'whole teams' working with serious disturbed and challenging behaviour from adults or children and adolescents: it is important to have everyone 'singing from the same songsheet' when working with disturbed and challenging behaviour, and that is what The RAID® Course does.
Attenders come from a variety of work settings, but principally are working with:
Note: When we bring the course to you, the tutor is selected as having the same specialist background as those attending the course.
You will be registered as having attended the course, thereby gaining APT's Level 1 accreditation, and receive a certificate to this effect. The accreditation gives you access to online resources associated with the course and access to the online exam if you wish to uprate your APT accreditation to Level 2.
Your registration lasts indefinitely, and your accreditation lasts for 3 years and is renewable by sitting an online refresher which also upgrades your accreditation to APT Level 2 if you are successful in the associated online exam.
Your accreditation is given value by the fact of over 100,000 people having attended training from the Association for Psychological Therapies. See APT accreditation for full details.
Option 1: Bring the course to your organisation:
We bring this 3-day course to your own organisation for a fixed, all-inclusive fee of £4,495 plus VAT and up to 15 people can attend. You can organise as many courses as you need, to cover the numbers you want to.
To book, call (UK) 0116 241 8331, or click the button:
Option 2: Study the course online:
Suitable for individuals, groups of professionals, or whole departments/organisations, this course is available to study online and is based on APT’s live course of the same name which, in its live form provides 18 hours CPD (with peer approval).
This is a great opportunity to obtain APT-quality input and develop your professional knowledge at a time that is convenient to you and your organisation. Click here for more information about RAID training online.
Option 3: Live webinar:
This course can be provided as a live webinar for groups and individuals. A webinar typically takes slightly less time than the live course on which it is based (because of less group discussion and group exercises) but they are live and pleasingly interactive.
Delegates can be anywhere that is conducive to concentrating, all together or separate, so long as they have access to a computer with a good internet connection.
Webinars from the APT are the only ones that automatically include registration and certification, APT-accreditation and access to any post-course resources.
Option 4: 'Train the Trainer':
If you or a colleague are a senior professional (e.g. consultant psychologist) and have a talent for communication and teaching, then you are welcome to apply to become an APT-accredited tutor. You could then tutor the course - or your chosen modules from it - in your own organisation, under license.
This is not only a highly appropriate use of senior professionals, but it also saves your organisation the tutor-component of the fee (around 50%) each time you run it or your chosen modules.
