CBT for Anxiety, Stress and Worry training is an APT-Accredited 3-day course from one of the UK's leading providers of Cognitive Behavioural Therapy training courses. We bring the training to your own organisation, for maximum cost-effectiveness, and up to 15 people can attend. (2-day version also available.)
'Worry' is the epitome on non-productive distress, because although it is by definition distressing, it also impairs the person's ability to resolve any problems that realistically underlie the worry. Equally, some people find that they have simply acquired the 'habit' of worrying, and as soon as one problem is resolved will find 'another peg to hang their worry on'. And finally there is the concept of 'stress'. Which on this course we define as the pressure put on the person who may or may not suffer distressing worry as a result: some individuals seem to acquire a much greater ability to cope with 'stress' than others do.
You will be registered as having attended the course, thereby gaining APT's Level 1 accreditation, and receive a certificate to this effect. The accreditation gives you access to online resources associated with the course and access to the online exam if you wish to uprate your APT accreditation to Level 2.
Your registration lasts indefinitely, and your accreditation lasts for 3 years and is renewable by sitting an online refresher which also upgrades your accreditation to APT Level 2 if you are successful in the associated online exam.
Your accreditation is given value by the fact of over 100,000 people having attended APT training. See APT accreditation for full details.
Option 1: Online Live and Exclusive course (for teams and organisations):
Online Live Courses typically take slightly less time than the face-to-face course on which it is based (because of less group discussion and group exercises) but they are live and pleasingly interactive. Click here to view prices.
Delegates can be anywhere that is conducive to concentrating, all together or separate, so long as they have access to a computer with a good internet connection. And as a manager, you have ‘guaranteed completion’: you only pay for delegates who successfully complete (minimum 15).
Option 2: Bring the course to your organisation:
Up to 15 people can attend this course and we bring it to you for an all-inclusive fee. The 3-day course costs £4,495 plus VAT, and the 2-day version costs £3,330 plus VAT.

Option 3: 'Train the Trainer':
If you or a colleague are a senior professional (e.g. consultant psychologist) and have a talent for communication and teaching, then you are welcome to apply to become an APT-accredited tutor. You could then tutor the course - or your chosen modules from it - in your own organisation, under license.
This is not only a highly appropriate use of senior professionals, but it also saves your organisation the tutor-component of the fee (around 50%) each time you run it or your chosen modules.

"The whole course was excellent. I got so much from it and will continue to use it in my work. I'm sorry it has come to an end and would have liked to have gone further. The tutor was 'top class'. Thank you."
“A very informative and helpful course. Very well presented and many informational anecdotes ... I am certain the course will improve my own clinical practice and benefit the patients that I see in my daily work. The APT ethos of delivery and quality of information and handouts is exemplary and the staff in Leicester are a credit to the organisation. Thank you for a very enjoyable course.”
