The APT Diploma in Psychological Therapies provides 90 hours of focused training and is fully accredited by the Association for Psychological Therapies (APT). Attend the training as an individual (live or online) or we can bring the training to your own organisation (for maximum cost-effectiveness) and up to 15 people can attend.
The APT Diploma in Psychological Therapies provides 90 hours of training, leading to Level 4 APT accreditation. Attend the diploma as an individual or we can bring the training to you for a fixed fee, to ensure you get a supportive group addressing the same material.
The diploma comprises 15 days of training made up by attending the five courses below
To be awarded the diploma, students must also complete an online exam (in their own time) after each course.
If you have already attended one or more of these courses in the last 2 years, then you have an exemption for that subject(s), you don't need to attend the same course again. If you have already attended the equivalent of one or more of these courses from another training-provider in the last 2 years, then again you have an exemption for that subject(s), although you do need to submit evidence of the training and pay a reading fee for APT assessing it.
Please note that the diploma should be completed in not more than 2 years from the date you undertake the first course.
You will be registered as having attended the course, thereby gaining The APT Diploma in Psychological Therapies, and receive a certificate to this effect and Level 4 accreditation which gains you access to the resources associated with the course.
Your registration lasts indefinitely, and your accreditation to use the resources lasts for 3 years and is renewable by attending a Masterclass top-up day or submitting evidence of continued practice, and your reflections on that practice (to the required level).
Your accreditation is given value by the fact of over 100,000 people having attended APT training. See APT accreditation for full details.
Option 1: Exclusive Live Webinar (for groups):
This course can be provided as a live webinar for groups. A webinar typically takes slightly less time than the live course on which it is based (because of less group discussion and group exercises) but they are live and pleasingly interactive. Click here to view prices.
Delegates can be anywhere that is conducive to concentrating, all together or separate, so long as they have access to a computer with a good internet connection. And as a manager, you have ‘guaranteed completion’: you only pay for delegates who successfully complete (minimum 15).
Option 2: Study the diploma online:
Suitable for individuals, groups of professionals, or whole departments/organisations, this diploma is available to study online and is based on APT’s live diploma of the same name. In its live form, each of the courses provide 18 hours CPD (with peer approval) and can be purchased individually to make up the diploma.
Please note, the online ACT Essentials course is currently being developed and should be available soon, so we recommend starting with the other course titles first. (Alternatively, see the ACT Essentials page to see if there are any alternative ways of attending.)
This is a great opportunity to obtain APT-quality input and develop your professional knowledge at a time that is convenient to you and your organisation.
Option 3: Bring the diploma to your organisation:
We bring the training to your own organisation for a fixed, all-inclusive fee of £22,475 plus VAT and up to 15 people can attend.

Option 5: 'Train the Trainer':
If you or a colleague are a senior professional (e.g. consultant psychologist) and have a talent for communication and teaching, then you are welcome to apply to become an APT-accredited tutor. You could then tutor the course - or your chosen modules from it - in your own organisation, under license.
This is not only a highly appropriate use of senior professionals, but it also saves your organisation the tutor-component of the fee (around 50%) each time you run it or your chosen modules.
