APT's unified approach to working with Psychosis.
108 hours of focused training for up to 15 people developed to help you bring the best psychological interventions to people who need them, to feel confident and effective as a team in doing so, and to be able to demonstrate your competence.
It is the only Psychosis Diploma that is APT-accredited and also gives you access to APT’s relevant downloadable resources for use post-course. The course is available for teams/organisations and can be attended face-to-face or online.
The APT Diploma for Working with Psychosis provides 108 hours of training over 12 months. We bring all the courses to you (face-to-face or online) for a fixed fee, to eliminate travel and expenses costs, and to ensure you get a supportive group addressing the same material.
The diploma comprises 18 days of training made up from your 6 chosen courses you have selected from the below list, all spread over 8-12 months.
After every course students are expected to sit a web-based exam.
To be awarded the diploma, students must attend at least five of the six taught courses, and pass at least five of the six exams.
You will be registered as having attended the course, thereby gaining APT's Diploma in Working with Psychosis, and receive a certificate to this effect and accreditation which gains you access to the resources associated with the course.
Your registration lasts indefinitely, and your accreditation to use the resources lasts for 3 years and is renewable by attending a Masterclass top-up day or submitting evidence of continued practice, and your reflections on that practice (to the required level).
Your accreditation is given value by the fact of over 125,000 people having attended APT training. See APT accreditation for full details.

APT prides itself on the feedback we receive about our courses. Below are just some of the great comments 'APT's unified approach to working with Psychosis' courses have received.
"I have heard so much about APT courses but have never had the privilege of attending one until now. I have to say that in 18 years working in mental health I have attended many courses but these past 3 days have surpassed all of them. The information and manner in which it was presented was excellent. My advice to anyone who has not been on an APT course is 'get yourself on one.' If you had only one course to do in the remainder of your career do this one. Thanks.”
"By far the best training course I have attended over my 27 years.”
"I have actually stopped applying for any non APT courses as they far exceed the content and presentation of any other NHS course I have been on in my 20+ years' experience of psychiatry. Many thanks."
