Artificial Intelligence is already beginning to influence mental health practice — sometimes helpfully, sometimes maybe less so, and often confusingly. This webinar explores how mental health professionals can realistically and ethically use AI to support their work and potentially benefit patients, without losing the human judgement, compassion and professional responsibility at the heart of good care. We will look at practical uses, possible pitfalls, confidentiality and governance issues, and the important question of where AI may help — and where it probably should not.
Speaker: Dr William Davies, chaired by Amy George
Dr William Davies is the Head of Applied Clinical Psychology at the APT and is the author of post qualification courses on CBT, DBT, ACT, motivational interviewing, and more. These have been attended by well over 150,000 mental health professionals in the UK alone.
