A 3-day course for 6-15 people (2-day version also available).
Dual diagnosis is generally viewed as a difficult presentation to treat. The patient may be disillusioned with conventional medication, and resigned to 'self-medicating'. And it is a frequent presentation: those with affective disorders are more likely to misuse mood-altering substanes, and those who misuse mood-altering substances are more likely to have affective disorders.
To make matters worse, patients may 'fall between two stools', with substance misuse services reluctant to treat them until they have addressed their affective disorder, and mental health services reluctant to treat them until they have addressed their substance misuse.
In summary, this is a very important presentation, and one which mental health and related services need to have a robust and well-worked response to.
You will be registered as having attended the course, thereby gaining APT's Level 1 accreditation, and receive a certificate to this effect. The accreditation gives you access to online resources associated with the course and access to the online exam if you wish to uprate your APT accreditation to Level 2.
Your registration lasts indefinitely, and your accreditation lasts for 3 years and is renewable by sitting an online refresher which also upgrades your accreditation to APT Level 2 if you are successful in the associated online exam.
Your accreditation is given value by the fact of over 100,000 people having attended APT training. See APT accreditation for full details.
Option 1: We come and run the course in your organisation:
We bring this 3-day course to your own organisation for a fixed, all-inclusive fee of £4,495 plus VAT and up to 15 people can attend. You can organise as many courses as you need, to cover the numbers you want to.
There is also a 2-day version available at £3,330 plus VAT inclusive for 6-15 delegates.
To book, call (UK) 0116 241 8331, or click the button:
Option 2: Live webinar:
This course can be provided as a live webinar for groups. A webinar typically takes slightly less time than the live course on which it is based (because of less group discussion and group exercises) but they are live and pleasingly interactive.
Delegates can be anywhere that is conducive to concentrating, all together or separate, so long as they have access to a computer with a good internet connection.

Option 3: 'Train the Trainer':
If you or a colleague are a senior professional (e.g. consultant psychologist) and have a talent for communication and teaching, then you are welcome to apply to become an APT-accredited tutor. You could then tutor the course - or your chosen modules from it - in your own organisation, under license.
This is not only a highly appropriate use of senior professionals, but it also saves your organisation the tutor-component of the fee (around 50%) each time you run it or your chosen modules.
