Mental health awareness is increasingly important for a whole range of people, and that is why we have prepared this course. We bring this APT-Accredited course to your own organisation and train a group of 6-15 people. It is available in 1-day and half-day versions.
It covers mental health as it applies to adults, adolescents, and children so is designed to be suitable 'across the board'.
This course is designed to give a thorough overview of the key issues in mental health and mental illness. As such it covers
* It is available in one-day and half-day versions. The difference between the two is that the half day version covers the topics in slightly less depth, and touches only very lightly on the last two bullets above.
Everybody who sometimes comes into contact with people who may have mental health problems.
The major diagnoses in mental illness.
Principles underlying helpful everyday interactions.
An overview of the major treatment strategies* and maintaining mental health.
* It is available in one-day and half-day versions. The difference between the two is that the half day version has little or no coverage of the asterisked items.
All delegates are registered at APT as having attended the course, and receive a certificate to acknowledge their attendance, registration, and APT-Accreditation at the appropriate level. As a bona fide APT event, this course automatically has accreditation from The Association for Psychological Therapies. This accreditation is given weight by the fact of over 100,000 professionals having attended APT training.
Option 1: Bring the course to your organisation:

Option 2: 'Train the Trainer':
If you or a colleague are a senior professional (e.g. consultant psychologist) and have a talent for communication and teaching, then you are welcome to apply to become an APT-accredited tutor. You could then tutor the course - or your chosen modules from it - in your own organisation, under license.
This is not only a highly appropriate use of senior professionals, but it also saves your organisation the tutor-component of the fee (around 50%) each time you run it or your chosen modules.

Average Relevance rating: 97%
