Forensic Diploma

The APT Diploma for working in Secure Psychiatric and Forensic Settings.

The APT Diploma for Working in Secure Psychiatric and Forensic Settings provides 180 hours of focused training and is fully accredited by APT (The Association for Psychological Therapies). We bring the training to your own organisation, for maximum cost-effectiveness, and up to 15 people can attend.

Executive Summary:

The APT Diploma for Working in Secure Psychiatric and Forensic Settings provides 180 hours of training over 12 months. We bring all the modules to you for a fixed fee, to eliminate travel and expenses costs, and to ensure you get a supportive group addressing the same material.

The diploma comprises 30 days of training made up from your 10 chosen modules/courses below.

After every module students are expected to sit an exam. To be awarded the diploma, students must attend at least 80% of the live taught modules, pass at least 90% of the exams (with no more than one third of being completed on the web).

To obtain a distinction, students must submit and pass at least 2 written case studies (3,000 - 4,000 words) describing the work based application of the approach they have studied in that module.

What you receive as a result of attending the training:

You will be registered as having attended the course, thereby gaining APT's Level 1 accreditation, and receive a certificate to this effect. The accreditation gives you access to online resources associated with the course.

Your registration lasts indefinitely, and your accreditation lasts for 3 years and is renewable by sitting an online refresher which also upgrades your accreditation to APT Level 2 if you are successful in the associated online exam.

Your accreditation is given value by the fact of over 100,000 people having attended APT training. See APT accreditation for full details.
