Bring APT Training into your organisation

Over 80,000 mental health professionals have attended APT training, some by attending our 'Open' courses, some through our Online courses, but the vast majority by attending APT courses bought in specifically for their organisation.

If you tutor courses, become an accredited tutor
......................................................................
To be a fully accredited APT tutor is a significant professional accolade. Provisional accreditation depends on you c.v. and references. Full accreditation depends upon that plus feedback from course delegates.

If you write mental health training
courses, have your courses accredited
......................................................................
For a course to be accredited by APT means (i) that it contains the right amount of relevant information and skills development for its duration, and (ii) all parts are presented in an engaging way, and in a way that will make them likely to be used after the course.

The Benefits of APT Accreditation are:
................................................................................................................................................................
A. You receive feedback about the course, covering:
1. Feedback on how much information has been put into the course: too much, too
little, or about right, on a five point scale.
2. The relevance of the course content to the course title, on a five point scale.
3. How interestingly the material is presented, on a five point scale.
4. The adequacy of the course design in terms of facilitating the application of the
course content to the working situation, after the course (‘generalisation’).
5. Pass or fail APT accreditation, on a five point scale where points four and five
are grades of pass, and one-three are grades of fail.
B. Successful accreditation entitles you to use the following logo and statement.
 |
This course is accredited by The Association for Psychological Therapies. This means (i) that it contains the right amount of relevant information for its duration, and (ii) the information is presented in an engaging way, and in a way that will make it likely to be used after the course. If run by an APT-accredited tutor, or one who has otherwise demonstrated their competence, this is likely to form a significant training event. |
................................................................................................................................................................
What is the ‘shelf-life’ of the accreditation?
................................................................................................................................................................
The accreditation has a ‘shelf-life’ of three years, or until you make substantial modifications to the course, whichever is the shorter.
................................................................................................................................................................
What is the cost?
...............................................................................................................................................................
The cost is £250 plus VAT per course-day or per 6 hours of course. There is a minimum charge of £250 plus VAT. There are no ‘on-going’ costs.
................................................................................................................................................................
Are there any additional benefits to APT Accreditation?
...............................................................................................................................................................
Yes:
• Optionally, at extra cost, you may utilise APT's evaluation process, and have delegates
registered on the APT register as having attended the training.
• Optionally, at extra cost, APT can send certificates to the registered delegates.
• Upon invitation only, and free of charge, the accredited course may be added to APT's
repertoire and circulated to interested parties, if the course author wishes. In this case
the course author receives a commission, if and whenever the course runs.
