Positive Behaviour Support Training

The RAID® Course.
Positive Behaviour Support for those who exhibit challenging behaviour.

The RAID® course is an excitingly positive approach to working with challenging behaviour, to eradicate it at source. It is the UK’s leading PBS approach for working with challenging behaviour - over 15,000 professionals have attended it.

We bring the training to your own organisation and train a group of 6-15 people, or you or your colleagues can be trained to roll out the course in your organisation under license. (Online version also available.)

Executive Summary:

The 3-day RAID® course is the UK’s leading approach for tackling challenging behaviour at source: over 15,000 professionals have attended it. It is classed as a positive behaviour support approach and is a comprehensive system which teaches staff a philosophy and practice not only to deal with challenging behaviour when it occurs, but also to prevent it by nurturing positive behaviour targetted to displace the challenging behaviour. Staff feel pleased to share a unified system and to know what they are doing and why they are doing it, while clients delight in a relentlessly positive and empowering approach.

As well as providing training in the RAID® approach, APT gives annual awards for excellent work with challenging behaviour, and also recognises RAID® Centres of Excellence.
