The RAID Course for Parenting
The RAID Course is a relentless positive approach to working with extreme behaviour,
and has been attended by about 11,000 professionals in the UK alone, many of whom
have applied its strong principles to working with children and adolescents. The RAID Course for parenting recognises this by overtly addressing this tremendously important group. Designed for foster-carers, people working in 'children's homes' and everybody professionally involved with children and adolescents, it also invites delegates to consider taking out a license to deliver RAIDing to groups of parents.

Attachment Disorder
This course aims to teach you about Attachment Disorder, where it comes from, what
effects
it
may have on children and young people, and how to work to reduce those effects and underlying
attachment disorder. It therefore covers, amongst other things, mellow parenting, working with
foster carers and therapeutic parenting, and also gives you the chance to conceptualise those
in relation.

Psychosocial Interventions with ADHD
Powerful psychosocial interventions to help young people and those
around them.
AD/HD has become an increasingly common diagnosis in recent years and is one that can cause
confusion and concern in parents and carers. They may already be ‘at their wits end’ in terms
of responding to disruptive behaviour and can then be confronted with entrenched viewpoints
about whether medical or psychosocial interventions are most effective – and even which ones
are morally ‘right’. This course aims to take a dispassionate view of the nature of AD/HD and
details what effective psychosocial interventions are available to
benefit both young people
involved and also those looking after them.

There Must be a Better Way
Stopping self harm and replacing it with something better.
The title of this course captures the philosophy behind it. Self-harm, though inexplicable
to anyone
who has never felt the urge to harm themselves, normally serves a very clear purpose. The secret
of success is, therefore, to identify that purpose and achieve it in a
less traumatic way. Simple in
theory, far from simple in practice, this course examines
exactly how to achieve it successfully.

Psychosocial Interventions with Asperger’s Syndrome
Understanding and interacting constructively in a condition that often frustrates
and confuses people.
This course focuses on a diagnosis that often frustrates and confuses professionals and
lay people
alike. Addressing both the literature and clinical experience the course focuses
on (a) understanding
the condition and (b) positive constructive interventions to benefit all concerned, both short and
long term. The primary focus of the course is for those working with children and adolescents.
